Students at Prestigious Institutions are excited to Study Bitcoin.

According to Dan Boneh, co-director of the Stanford Computer Security Lab and professor of cryptography, he is attracting a large number of people to his cryptocurrency courses. As a cryptography researcher for almost 30 years, Boneh began teaching a bitcoin and cryptocurrency class in 2015, attracting more than 100 students. His online cryptography course has seen over one million signing up, reports CNBC.

College students at some of the world’s most prestigious educational and research institutions such as Stanford are rushing to take cryptocurrency programs, curriculums, and classes.
More importantly, in 2017 alone, the price of bitcoin has increased by over six-fold, while the market cap of Ethereum increased from $10 billion to $30 billion, demonstrating drastic surges in value. Taken away by the market valuations of leading cryptocurrencies, Boneh noted that students have become eager to learn more about bitcoin and Ethereum.

He said;

"A lot of people are attracted to the huge valuations in these currencies," emphasizing that security and cryptography are the second-most popular subjects at Stanford’s computer science department.
According to employment marketplace Freelancer, there has been an 82 percent increase in jobs related to bitcoin. Speaking to CNBC, Matt Barrie, CEO of Freelancer, said earlier this week that one of the main skills that employers are looking for is a candidate’s ability to manage initial coin offerings (ICOs).

How To Keep Your Cyrptocurrency Safe

The Verge  has a recent article that could send shivers down the spine of anyone who invests in digital currency. An online storage site for cryptocurrency was attacked by a hacker, and over $1 million worth of Bitcoins were stolen. An ominous headline accompanying the article reads, “Users Very Unlikely to Ever See Their Money Again.” This isn't the first time something like this has happened, and—let's be realistic—it's not likely to be the last. We aren't telling you this as an attempt to sound a death knell for cryptocurrency in general, but we are holding it up as an example that electronic financial tools are vulnerable if they aren't adequately protected. Two aspects of cryptocurrency that are pushed by its advocates to potential investors can also make it more susceptible to hacking, as recently discussed in  Bitcoin Magazine . 1. It's not linked or connected to any bank or government—which also makes it devoid of protection. As of yet, there's ...
